Application by Vernon Judson Sibbins to discharge the existing development agreement for 5 Sawlers Road, Waverley, and enter into a new development agreement which would permit various commercial uses on the property at 5 Sawlers Road, Waverley.

The property owner owns a building formerly occupied by a construction company. The existing property rights are controlled by a development agreement (legal contract) with the Municipality which limits the land uses on the property. The proposal is to broaden the range of permitted land uses on the property which would enable to the property to be leased or rented.

This application is being considered through the development agreement process.
Status
public information meeting was held on July 8, 2009. The purpose was to gain feedback from the community on the proposal. Subsequently a mailout in the fall of 2011 was sent out to determine if there were other comments from the public prior to the drafting of a development agreement. A proposed development agreement and a staff report will soon be submitted for consideration by Marine Drive Valley and Canal Community Council. These documents will be posted to this web page as they become available. Subsequently a public hearing may be scheduled. Further public comments may be received at the public hearing.
