Request

Application to consolidate 72-74 Primrose Street, Dartmouth for the purpose of constructing a 43-unit multiple dwelling by development agreement.

Proposal

The proposed development agreement would permit a 43-unit apartment building at 72-74 Primrose Street.  Most of the units under this proposal are one bedroom units.  The plans provided below illustrate the detailed design.

This application is being considered under the development agreement process.

Status

A public information meeting (PIM) was held June 11, 2012 at Dartmouth North Community Centre, Dartmouth.

A staff report was tabled with Harbour East-Marine Drive Community Council on January 29, 2013.

The public hearing was held by Harbour East-Marine Drive Community Council on March 7, 2013. The staff recommendation was approved.  The decision may be appealed to the Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board for a period of fourteen days following the publication of a notice of approval in the newspaper, which was published Saturday, March 16, 2013.

Documents Submitted for Evaluation

The applicant has submitted the plans required by HRM staff to properly evaluate the application. These materials are available for review at the Planning Services office in Dartmouth.
