A Public Information Meeting was held on Monday January 25th, 2016 at 7pm at the Wallace Lucas Centre, Lucasville N.S.

Request
An application by RMP Development Consulting Limited has been made to enter into a Development Agreement for an equestrian farm at 1418 Lucasville Road, Lucasville, known as Restless Pines Farms.  The current zoning permits agricultural uses on the property however a development agreement is required for the existing commercial recreational operations there.

The applicant has requested that North West Community Council approve a development agreement for an equestrian farm at 1418 Lucasville Road, Lucasville. The subject property is designated Mixed Use B under the Beaverbank, Hammonds Plains, Upper Sackville Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS) and currently zoned MU-1 (Mixed Use 1) under  the Beaverbank, Hammonds Plains, Upper Sackville Land Use By-law (LUB).(Maps 1 and 2)

This application is being considered under the development agreement process.

Status
A Public Information Meeting held on Monday January 25th, 2016 at 7pm at the Wallace Lucas Centre, Lucasville N.S.

Following this, the application will be reviewed by staff. A public hearing is required prior to any Council decision on the application.  Information regarding the date, time and location of the formal Public Hearing will be posted here once scheduled, will be mailed to nearby property owners.

Documents Submitted for Evaluation
The applicant has submitted plans required by HRM staff to properly evaluate the application. The documents are also available for review at the Planning Applications office in Dartmouth.
