The Halifax Regional Police Operations Division encompasses the Patrol Division and the Criminal Operations Division.

Patrol is the most visible part of our police agency as it includes the patrol cars on the street, officers walking the beat, and officers working within the schools and the community.  These men and women are the heart of our community policing philosophy.

The members of the Criminal Operations Division, while not as visible in the community, work around the clock to solve complex crimes across the Municipality.
