The Property & Exhibits Unit is responsible for tracking all evidentiary property seized by police until the matter reaches court (with the exception of drugs).  Each year this unit retrieves, catalogues, and stores thousands of pieces of potential evidence.

This unit is also specially equipped to maintain all DNA related evidence as well as all pieces of evidence which are sensitive to the elements.
                                     
The Property and Exhibits Unit also operates a “Lost and Found” service. If valuable property is found, citizens are asked to please call police and/or return the item to police headquarters at 1975 Gottingen Street. This service returns hundreds of pieces of lost property to their rightful owners each year.
