The Support Division plays an integral role in information services and the record-keeping of law enforcement processes.
Records Section
The Records Unit is responsible for maintaining all criminal records on file, transcribing incident reports and tracking records and Police files used by the justice system. The staff working in this unit have a significant work load which requires an enormous amount of time, energy and accuracy.
Courts & Warrants Section
The Court Office acts as a liaison between police officers and courts to ensure cases are prepared correctly for court on a timely basis. This section also develops and execute warrants in co-operation with the NS Department of Justice.
Training Section
The Training Section is responsible for not only ensuring staff receive the necessary training to perform their duties, but also for recruit training.
Booking
Responsible for care and processing of all incarcerated individuals, including obtaining fingerprints and facilitating lawful
release.
