Halifax Regional Police (HRP) Human Resources and Volunteer Programs are pleased to offer Discover HRP to HRM citizens as part of our commitment to find new, innovative ways to recruit employees and volunteers.
During the week of July 18-22, 2011, you have the opportunity to experience what it is like to be a police cadet. Discover HRP 2011 is open to individuals aged 19-29, with a focus on women and individuals from the racially visible community.
All applicants must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident and have no criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted and no adult criminal charges pending.
Discover HRP will be held at Northbrook Police Training Centre in Dartmouth with participants spending the entire day (6 a.m. - 5 p.m.) learning about a career in policing. Participants will take part in fitness drills, firearms exercises, mentoring sessions and other practical exercises.
There is no cost to participate, however, registration is limited.
Participants must commit to attend the full week.
