The Integrated HRP/RCMP Major Crime Unit is seeking the public's assistance in locating a missing man.

On December 3, 1996, family members of Jamie Wyatt made a report to the St. John's RCMP, that Jamie Wyatt had not been seen since November 12, 1996. Mr. Wyatt had been residing in Newfoundland, however, he left there in September 1996 to seek employment in Nova Scotia. The investigation revealed that Jamie Wyatt had been staying at the Twin Elms Motel on Inglis Street, Halifax, where he was last seen on November 16, although he was paid up until November 17, 1996. On the evening of November 16, Mr. Wyatt informed staff at the Twin Elms that someone was going to be picking him up that evening to go out to a dinner party and other functions during the evening. Mr. Wyatt was never heard from again. The circumstances of Mr. Wyatt's disappearance are suspicious and foul play is suspected.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Mr. Wyatt, or anyone who may have seen him is asked to call Police at 490-5016.

This case is part of the Nova Scotia Department of Justice Rewards for Major Unsolved Crimes Program.
