Police Report January 19, 2012

GO# 12-9810 - Pedestrian-Vehicle Collision - Shortly after 5 p.m. a 27-year-old Halifax woman was struck by a vehicle as she crossed Flamingo Drive at Bedford Highway. She was checked by paramedics and did not require further medical treatment. The driver, a 51-year-old Halifax man, was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

GO# 12-9907 - Pedestrian-Vehicle Collision - At 10:25 p.m. a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle while crossing Quinpool Road at Oxford Street. The victim, a 19-year-old Halifax man, was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The driver, a 38-year-old Timberlea man, was issued a ticket for failing to yield to a pedestrian in a crosswalk.

Man on HEAT List Arrested – Officers responded to a call from the public at 7:15 p.m., which resulted from yesterday’s release of the HEAT Outstanding Warrant list. Jonathon Russell Craig was arrested without incident at an Almon Street address. He will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on January 20.
