Have you ever wanted to know how police dogs sniff out drugs? How about seeing a police vehicle up close? Or finding out what you can do to protect your home from thieves?
Well, this is your chance! Halifax Regional Police and Halifax District RCMP are hosting a police show with hands-on displays and demonstrations which highlight the many services provided in HRM while giving residents an inside look at the fascinating world of police work.
Visit the 2nd Level, Bay Court entrance where booths will be set up to showcase the hard work that police men and women are doing to keep HRM neighbourhoods safe. Find out how you can get involved in playing a role in public safety and have your child's fingerprints taken by Halifax Regional Police Youth Program participants or photo taken with HRP and RCMP officers.
Stop by the parking lot near the Old Navy store to check out demonstrations from the Emergency Response Team, K-9 Unit and Traffic Services, and learn more about the explosive device robot and the Public Safety Unit.
