Drug/Weapon Charges

Two people face drug and weapons charges after a search yesterday in Clayton Park.

At approximately 2 p.m., patrol officer and the HRP Emergency Response Team conducted a search of an apartment on Regency Park Drive. Officers discovered some drugs in the apartment and a second warrant was obtained by members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated Guns and Gangs Team. The search resulted in a quantity of marijuana, cocaine and hashish being seized as well as cash, drug paraphernalia, a conductive energy weapon and gun ammunition. Two people were arrested when they returned to the apartment.

Thirty-six-year-old John Thomas Riley and 24-year-old Andrea Natasha Ricker each face three counts of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking, two counts of breaching probation and a single count of possession of a prohibited weapon. They are both scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
