Traffic Stop Results in Drug Charges

A man faces charges after a traffic stop early this morning in Halifax.

At 12:30 a.m., officers assigned to the Central Quick Response Unit conducted a traffic stop on Barrington Street near Prince Street. Officers arrested the driver without incident and the subsequent search resulted in quantities of cocaine, marijuana and cash being seized.

Forty-six-year-old Douglas Arthur Koskinsky of Dartmouth faces charges of drug possession for the purpose of trafficking and drug possession. He is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today.
