Your received application will be kept on file to be reviewed at the next selection process for your chosen program(s). During the selection process, qualifications will be reviewed and selected candidates will be contacted for an interview.

You will meet with an interview panel of 2 - 3 people to determine if a volunteer position with Halifax Regional Police is a good fit for you and the organization. Candidates who are successful through the interview stage will undergo police background checks.

If the background checks are successful, the references listed on your application form may be checked.

Once all checks have been completed with satisfactory results, you will be scheduled for the next orientation and training session.

Applications will be kept on file for a period of one-year.
