The Integrated HRP/RCMP Major Crime Unit is investigating the homicide of Glenn Brian Bourgeois.
Just after 4 p.m., multiple calls were received from citizens who heard shots ring out at the intersection of Maynard and Woodill Streets in Halifax. Responding officers found Mr. Bourgeois, shot multiple times, lying on the street in the intersection. Paramedics responded, however Mr. Bourgeois was pronounced dead at the scene. After the shots were heard, witnesses observed two males run west on Woodill Street towards Agricola. They ran straight across Agricola Street, and in the process, one of them was nearly struck by what is described as a small to mid-size grey vehicle that was traveling south on Agricola. The driver had to slam on his brakes to avoid hitting the male.
