The HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit is seeking the public's assistance with the investigation into the homicide of Jonathan Reader.

At approximately 4:10 a.m. on August 7, 2005, 19-year-old Jonathan Reader was found unconscious on the roadway at Radcliffe Drive/Dunbrack Street. Mr. Reader was taken to the hospital where he died a short time later.

Investigators have determined that Mr. Reader left the Pacifico Bar and Grill at 1:57 a.m. on August 7 in the company of a female described as white, 19-20-years-old, 5'5 to 5'7, with long dark hair. She was wearing a white top and a blue/green skirt. Investigators have determined that Mr. Reader was in the area of Dutch Village Road, believed to be alone, at approximately 3:20 a.m.
