The Community Relations/Crime Prevention (CR/CP) Unit works in partnership with the community, and is responsible for developing awareness and educational programs to foster safer communities and reduce the opportunities of crime.
The unit oversees a number of programs, including programs for elementary, junior high and high school students; special events such as Police Week and Bicycle Rodeos; and volunteers within Halifax Regional Police.

While the CR/CP section offers programs to children, we have noticed a need to provide parents with some basic information regarding Drugs and Gang Involvement. While both these topics are broad, our Parent Resource section provides information as to what to look for to see if your child could be involved in either of these activities.
