Halifax Regional Police and the Nova Scotia Corp of Commissionaires have partnered to better serve the needs of citizens in the Halifax Regional Municipality.

The Commissionaires who work with HRP help to handle public concerns and non-emergency requests such as:

• Theft from a Motor Vehicle
• Missing persons
• Request to locate
• Stolen vehicles

Some other responsibilities include:

• Booking Matron for female detainees
• Court Services- maintaining records and serving subpoenas on behalf of HRP and RCMP.

The Commissionaires also work in Quarter Master Stores managing lost and found property and issuing articles to police members. Parking Enforcement Commissionaires investigate parking complaints reported to the dispatch centre.
