Recreation Day | Saturday, June 4

Come on Halifax! Get Out and Get Active on Recreation Day

Celebrate Recreation Day on Saturday, June 4, with many municipally-owned Community and Recreation Centres offering free programs and activities. Call your local Community Recreation Center for event details.

June is Recreation Month in Nova Scotia. Our municipal government has made it a priority to encourage healthy communities across the Halifax region. That means building safe, liveable and accessible neighbourhoods where residents have access to facilities and open spaces that foster connectivity and physical activity.

In case of inclement weather, please contact your local Community Recreation Centre to confirm if outdoor events will be going ahead.

Everyone has their favorite Recreation Activity. What’s yours? Share with #RECtasticJune. Don’t forget to be social and like Recreation Day on Facebook and follow Halifax Recreation (@HfxREC) on Twitter. Our hashtag is # RECtasticJune
