Help the environment and create valuable compost for your yard
Backyard composting is a practical part of solid waste management that benefits everyone. Residents are encouraged to back yard compost, in addition to using the green cart program.
When we manage compostables in our backyard less material has to be picked up curbside and trucked to a facility, saving costs and fuel.
Backyard composting benefits you by making free compost for healthier lawns and gardens.
To assist residents with their composting projects, HRM is once again offering for sale the 'Earth Machine' backyard composting bin. |
