EngageHRM
The creation of HRM's Regional Plan provided the first opportunity for HRM to use e-consultation. EngageHRM was presented to the online community in the form of an electronic bulletin board. It provided another means of gathering public input and opened the lines of communication to a more diverse audience.
The EngageHRM Forum was used in the summer of 2005. It allowed HRM residents an opportunity to submit their views and provide feedback on Draft #1 of the Regional Plan, suggest solutions for improvements to draft policies, as well as read the views of others and communicate directly with other forum users.
The EngageHRM forum continued during the first year of the Regional Plan's implementation for the Community Visioning project.
