Between October 24 and November 7, 2005 HRM residents attended Community Council meetings for an update on the Regional Plan:
October 24 - Western Region
October 26 - Marine Drive, Valley and Canal
October 27 - North West
November 3 - Harbour East
November 7 - Chebucto
November 7 - Peninsula
At each session Regional Planning staff provided an overview of the public feedback from the spring and summer public consultation program and highlighted the resulting areas of change to the first draft of the Regional Plan in response to this feedback. The presentation outlined the next steps towards adoption of a Regional Plan and an estimated time-line for the formal Public Hearing and approval process to begin.
