Disputing a Parking Ticket
Halifax Regional Municipality has a review process in place for clients that wish to dispute their tickets, prior to accessing the formal court process. However, there are guidelines which determine whether or not we can review the offense.

If the violation for the ticket is not appropriate for the review process, the next step is to wait for an official Summons (any time after 60 days of issuance of the ticket) to appear in court to make a plea. The first arraignment is for you to make a plea. A new date and time is given for a trial to be held during night court. If for any reason the registered owner can not attend on the arraignment date the Summons is issued, a friend or relative may enter your plea for you and set a trial date.
