Email us to "save the date" for your visit to the Emera Oval.

Planning your winter visit:

  • There is NO PARKING on site at The Emera Oval.  Busses can drop off/pick up students on Cogswell Street (Westbound).  Busses CANNOT enter The Emera Oval site.

  • The number of skates/helmets available are limited.  We highly recommend students bring their own.  We do not reserve skates/helmets, they are distributed on a first come, first serve basis.

  • CSA approved multi-impact helmets are required for children 12 and under.  Bicycle helmets are not permitted.

  • Chaperones and teachers are required to accompany students while on and off the ice.

  • Depending on the age of the group, students will need help putting on and lacing their skates.  This is very time consuming.  Please take this into account when planning the number of chaperones to accompany your group.

  • Should your group have to cancel, we greatly appreciate as much advanced notice as possible to ensure other groups are able to attend.

  • In the event of weather cancellation please check our website or call the Emera Oval hotline at 902-490-2347. Reasons for cancellation might include (but are not limited to): ice conditions, storm days (schools are closed), weather, temperatures or rain.
