The theme is "Violence Against Women: What have you got to do with it?" The event presents a keynote speaker and discussion on what you can do individually and globally about the issue of violence against women.

The Metro Interagency Committee on Violence is a diverse action-oriented committee whose purpose is to affect change concerning family violence by working toward the the prevention and elimination of family violence in all it's forms through:
- strengthening our network and working relationships
- engaging community involvement
- developing collaborative relationships with community and government
- advocating on family violence
- facilitating education and awareness
- sharing information
