Sackville Street to Prince Street

yelowline

The Sackville to Prince segment of Brunswick Street has a 5-car cab stand on the east side and some metered parking on the west side, no parking is permitted in the southbound direction for approximately 30.5 meters from the Sackville Street intersection.

The existing minimal parking on this segment permits the use of minimal lateral standards for a shared parking/ bike lane on both sides of the roadway. The lanes can be reconfigured to allow a 3.6-meter outside lane and a 2.7-meter inside lane in the northbound direction. This will provide adequate road space after bridge traffic is diverted. In addition, another 2.7-meter lane can be added in the southbound direction that should improve traffic flow in the morning peak. A 3.7-meter shared parking/bike outside lane is then possible on the west side of the roadway.
