The Cole Harbour Park and Trails Association was formed in order to preserve and manage the private lands donated to the public through the Province. This area is rich in historical significance and flora and fauna resources. The land and salt marsh were donated to the province in order to protect it from being lost to development.

It is the Association's mandate to protect the heritage and natural resources through education and recreation, and bring the community, and other users to the park and trails to experience active transportation and recreational in a natural setting.

Cole Harbour Parks and Trails Association Goals:

  •          To promote and coordinate the construction and maintenance of parks and trails in Cole Harbour by encouraging an active volunteer membership.
  • ·         To pursue trail routes and park opportunities and the required resources for construction, maintenance and operation.
  • ·         To promote the conservation of the natural environment and the history of the lands surrounding the trails and parks.
  • ·         To provide community recreational resources while respecting the concerns of landowners and similar associations in neighbouring communities.
