Halifax Regional Trails Association (HRTA)

An organization of community-based residents who assist and support community trails groups to develop, build and promote a system of interconnecting trails in HRM, as part of the Active Transportation Plan. There are over 20 organized trail systems throughout HRM, in either a completed and usable state, or in planning or construction stages that are maintained by a community-based trail association. It is the hard work and dedication of these volunteers that enables community members and citizens of HRM to walk, hike and bike the various trail systems.
