This new trail on HRM land was opened in December 2009. The first community built trail in the Spryfield area has a 1.3km  crusher dust surface. The Trail is managed by the McIntosh Run Watershed Association. The group has plans to continue the trail in the next construction season.

The Trailhead is at the north end of River Road in Spryfield. The designated uses are walking, hiking, biking and running.
