New Express Routes. More Ferry Service. Better Commute.
Halifax Transit has launched two new Urban Express Routes, improved existing bus routes, and expanded its Woodside ferry service to give commuters in Dartmouth more options when travelling to downtown Halifax.
Here are all of the changes that commuters in Dartmouth can enjoy:
Two new limited-stop Urban Express Routes will transport passengers in and around the Forest Hills Parkway and Mount Edward Road (Route 78) to the Woodside Ferry Terminal. Additionally, residents in Cole Harbour will see the existing Route 165 Woodside MetroLink replaced with the new and improved service on the Route 79 Cole Harbour Express.
In an effort to better service commuters travelling to and from Dartmouth and Halifax, the Woodside ferry will expand its weekday service to provide more timely crossings for day-to-day commuters.
Route 57 Russell Lake, Route 60 Eastern Passage/Heritage Hills andRoute 63 Woodside, which currently service the Woodside Ferry Terminal, will experience schedule changes to better align commuters with the expanded ferry service.
