Penhorn/Woodlawn Residents invited to Community Visioning Workshops

(February 20, 2009) - The Penhorn/Woodlawn Community Liaison Group (CLG), a working group of local residents assisted by HRM, invites residents to participate in community discussions by attending one or more of upcoming workshops. These themed workshops build on community input already collected through two recent public meetings and a community survey in an effort to create a Community Vision and Action Plan.

• Transportation - March 5, 2009
• Future Residential and Commercial Needs - March 12, 2009
• Public Buildings, Spaces, Programs, Activities - March 19, 2009

The Penhorn/Woodlawn Community Liaison Group was formed in September 2008 as part of VisionHRM, a community-led initiative supported by HRM which gives residents an opportunity to think creatively about what is possible for their community as a whole 10, 15, 20 years into the future. The CLG is tasked with leading a community engagement process and developing a Vision and Action Plan for the community.
