
Spryfield's Vision Approved!
The Spryfield Community Liaison Group (CLG) is very pleased to announce that Regional Council approved the Community Vision and Action Plan on Tuesday, December 8, 2009.
Councillor Steve Adams recognized the efforts and commitment of the CLG volunteers, local residents and other community stakeholders who worked so hard to achieve this important milestone.
Implementation of the new Vision and Action Plan will begin in 2010. The recruitment of a Vision Implementation Committee (VIC) will be a first priority. Stay tuned for more details on next steps and VIC recruitment opportunities.


Community Engaging Community
Your Community Liaison Group (CLG) has been engaging residents since January 2009 to develop a Community Vision and Action Plan. The vision will build on previous input and initiatives to address a wide range of community aspirations and priorities for action.

Thank you for your comments on the draft!
Thank you for sharing your thoughts on Spryfield's Draft Vision and Action Plan. The CLG will be collecting and reviewing all of the feedback [PDF, 120KB] received. Once revisions to the draft are complete, the CLG will present the Vision and Action Plan, on behalf of the community, to Regional Council in the Fall.
The CLG would like to express thanks and appreciation to the residents of Spryfield, and the community's many groups and organizations who have taken time to share their insight and experience towards "shaping Spryfield's future together".
Thanks to the Spryfield & District Business Commission, Boys and Girls Club, Lions and Lioness' Clubs, parents from Rockingstone Heights School, St. Paul’s Café, youth from Elizabeth Sutherland Junior High School, Spryfield Residents Association, Urban Farm Museum, MacIntosh Run Association and Mainland South Heritage Society. Special thanks also to all of the residents who filled out the online survey.

Community Visioning Kicks Off in Spryfield!
On Thursday, May 22, 2008 a Community Visioning Kick-Off event was held at the Captain William Spry Center in Spryfield.
Residents came out to learn about the Community Visioning project slated to begin in the Spryfield area and to find out how to get involved.
In small-group discussion [PDF, 70KB], residents talked about what they value in the community and their ideas for the future. Residents also enjoyed refreshments and musical entertainment.
