Oxford/Chebucto/Windsor/Quinpool area of Halifax

Effective Tuesday, March 3rd and thereafter, those areas described below will receive garbage/green cart/recyclables collection on a new day.

This change is necessary to enhance timeliness of the municipal collection service and to balance the number of households serviced on each collection day. If you have received this notice and your street is not indicated in the affected area, you may contact one of the numbers listed below. We apologize for any inconvenience.

Collection will occur as usual on Monday, February 23 (garbage/recyclables). The next collection for the area as noted will be Tuesday, March 3 (green cart/recyclables).

Please be advised that collection times will be subject to change. To ensure collection please place your materials curbside for 7:00 am.

YOUR NEW COLLECTION DAY WILL BE TUESDAY.

The following area, currently receiving collection on MONDAY will be affected:

• East side of Oxford St from the intersection with Quinpool Rd to the intersection with Chebucto Rd
• Allan St running east to Windsor St.
• South side of Chebucto Rd from Oxford St to Windsor St including side streets
  • Harvard St, Chebucto Ln, Duncan St and Lawrence St.
• West side of Windsor St from the intersection with Chebucto Rd to the intersection with Quinpool Rd.
• North side of Quinpool Rd from Windsor St to Oxford St
• Side streets off of Quinpool Rd including:
  • Monastery Ln, Yukon St, Yale St, and Quingate Pl
