WM Fares Architects is applying for minor changes to an existing development agreement.
The applicant wishes to change the previously approved development agreement to allow more time to complete the development of a mixed-use building at 651 Portland Hills Drive in Dartmouth. The agreement was approved in 2018 and a link is provided below (under documents). The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
• Extend the time for commencement; and
• Extend the time for completion
The application will be considered under the non-substantive amending development agreement process.
The planning application was deemed complete and followed the team review process by municipal staff and external reviewers. The community engagement process was consistent with the intent of the HRM Community Engagement Strategy. The level of community engagement was information sharing, achieved through providing information and seeking comments through the municipal website and signage posted on the subject site. A public information meeting and a public hearing are not required for a non-substantive amendment to a development agreement.
