A public hearing will be held by Harbour East – Marine Drive Community Council on Thursday September 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club – 2nd Floor Aquatic Room, 192 Prince Albert Road, Dartmouth, NS.
Monaco Investments Partnership is applying to enter into a development agreement to allow an 8-storey multi-unit residential building containing ground floor commercial uses on the combined site located at 307 Prince Albert Road and 5 Glenwood Avenue, Dartmouth.

The applicant wishes to develop an 8-storey mixed use residential and commercial building. General details of the proposal include the following:
• A maximum of 90 dwelling units;
• A maximum of 605 square metres (6512 square feet) of ground floor commercial space;
• Parking internal to the building with a minimum of one parking space per dwelling unit and 16 spaces reserved for commercial uses; and
• A minimum of 100 square metres (1,076 square feet) of indoor amenity space for residents.
The development plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to a proposed site development, proposed building design, and traffic impact statement.
Note: A previous proposal for a 9-storey building was refused by Harbour East – Marine Drive Community Council on April 5, 2018.
This application is being considered through the Development Agreement Process.
Harbour East – Marine Drive Community Council considered a Staff Report on July 5, 2018 and gave Notice of Motion to consider a development agreement for 307 Prince Albert Road and 5 Glenwood Avenue, Dartmouth, as well as scheduled a Public Hearing.
The Public Hearing will be held on Thursday September 6, 2018 at 6:00 p.m. at the Mic Mac Amateur Aquatic Club – 2nd Floor Aquatic Room, 192 Prince Albert Road, Dartmouth, NS. All oral and written submissions will be considered at that time. Written submissions may be forwarded to the Municipal Clerk by mail, P.O. Box 1749, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3J 3A5; by fax, 902-490-4208; or by e-mail, email@example.com. Written submissions should be received by the Municipal Clerk’s office as early as possible but no later than 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 6, 2018. For any written submissions exceeding three standard letter sized pages in length, ten (10) copies must be supplied to the Municipal Clerk’s Office.
In addition to the published newspaper advertisements, notification of the public hearing will be mailed to property owners within the notification area.
