The Application by Summit Rock Developments Ltd. on behalf of Conrad Brothers Ltd. requests that Regional Council (needs link) amend the boundaries of the District 14 and 17 Municipal Planning Strategy [MPS] and corresponding Land Use Bylaw [LUB] to include the entirety of the subject lands and to rezone the subject properties to permit industrial and highway commercial activities.

The subject properties are located northeast of HWY 107 off Cono Drive and Montague Road in Montague Gold Mines and are currently divided into three separate Community Plan Areas:
The subject properties are designated Residential and Watershed and zoned R-1 [Residential], PWS [Protected Water Supply], R-1B [Suburban Residential], and I-3 [Light Industrial] under the applicable Municipal Planning Strategies [MPS] and Land Use Bylaws [LUB].
This application is being considered under the MPS amendment and Rezoning processes.
The application is currently being reviewed by staff. As part of the boundary adjustment and MPS and LUB amendment processes a public information meeting [PIM] and a public hearing is required.
The PIM was held on Wednesday January 25, 2017 from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at the Port Wallace United Church, 263 Waverley Road, Dartmouth. Anyone interested in this application is invited to contact staff with any concerns or comments.
