A PUBLIC HEARING will be held by Halifax and West Community Council on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Halifax City Hall, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax, NS.
WSP Canada Inc. is applying to rezone the lands at 59 Kearney Lake Road (PIDs 00325795 and 40047524), Halifax from R-1 (Single Family Dwelling) Zone to R-3 (General Residential and Low Rise Apartment) Zone.
The applicant wishes to locate and develop a residential apartment building. The major aspects of the development proposal are as follows:
• Four storey multiple unit building;
• 32 residential units;
• Existing dwelling unit to be demolished; and
• Existing site access from Kearney Lake Road to be retained.
The Development Plans (provided below) outlines the development proposal and includes information related to the proposed building massing (including application of the proposed R-3 Zone angle controls), the site plan that locates proposed building footprint, parking, driveway access and amenity space; a preliminary servicing schematic and traffic impact study.
The application will be considered under the rezoning process.
The application has been circulated to all relevant members of HRM staff for preliminary review and comments have been received.
A public information meeting was held on December 4 at St. Peter’s Anglican Church Hall in Halifax.
