Application by Troy Johnston requesting a rezoning of the lands at PID 00299768 Edgehill Road, Halifax (Mainland), from the R-1 (Single Family Dwelling Zone) to R-2 Zone (Two Family Dwelling Zone).
The property owner is making an application to rezone the subject site from the current R-1 Single Family Dwelling Zone to R-2 Two Family Dwelling Zone. There are currently no buildings on the site. The property has street frontage both on Edgehill Road and Fenwood Road.
The subject lands are specified as Urban Settlement (US) within the Regional Plan and as Low Density Residential (LDR) within the Halifax Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS). The Secondary Plan is Mainland South. The subject site is 13,000 square feet (1,208 square metres).
This application is being considered through the Rezoning process (Process No 2.00)
Adjacent property owners will be notified of the proposal by mail. A sign will be posted by the applicant on the subject site advertising the intent to rezone. Staff will undertake a detailed review of the application prior to sending a recommendation report to Halifax West Community Council.
