Application by Jason Fox for a development agreement at 33-35 Pleasant Street, Dartmouth to legalize an existing additional dwelling unit in a registered heritage property.
The applicant has applied to enter into a development agreement with HRM for the subject property. The property is developed with an existing six unit residential building but only five of the units are considered legal. The requested development agreement would legalize the sixth dwelling unit. The lot is a municipally registered heritage property. No changes to the interior or exterior of the building are proposed.
The application will be considered under the Development Agreement with HAC Process.
A public hearing for Case 21524 will be held by Harbour East-Marine Drive Community Council on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 6:00pm at Alderney Gate (Harbour East-Marine Drive Community Council Meeting Space), Main Floor, 40 Alderney Drive, Dartmouth, NS. All oral and written submissions will be considered at that time. Written submissions may be forwarded to the Municipal Clerk by mail, P.O. Box 1749, Halifax, Nova Scotia, B3J 3A5; by fax, 902-490-4208; or by e-mail, firstname.lastname@example.org. Written submissions should be received by the Municipal Clerk’s office as early as possible and not later than 3:00 p.m. pm on November 1, 2018. For any written submissions exceeding three standard letter sized pages in length, ten copies must be supplied to the Municipal Clerk’s office.

The applicant has submitted plans and studies required by HRM Staff to properly evaluate the application. The documents are also available for review at the Planning Applications Office in Downtown Dartmouth.
