Application by Shelley Dickey Land Use Planning, on behalf of Dynamic Properties Company, to rezone seven properties on Stairs Street and Livingstone Street, Halifax (Peninsula) from R-2 (General Residential) Zone and C-2 (General Business) Zone to C-3 (Industrial) Zone.
The property owner is making an application to rezone the subject site with addresses 6054, 6048, 6042, 6038, and 6034 Stairs Street as well as 6055 and 6031 Livingstone Street from Zones R-2 and C-2 to C-3. Rezoning will enable construction of a motor vehicle dealership for both sales and service.
The subject lands are specified as Urban Settlement (US) within the Regional Plan and designated Industrial (IND) within the Community Plan. The subject site is 58,501 square feet (5,435 square metres).
This application is being considered through the Rezoning process.
Adjacent property owners will be notified of the proposal by mail. A sign will be posted by the applicant on the subject site advertising the intent to rezone. Staff will undertake a detailed review of the application prior to sending a recommendation report to Halifax West Community Council.
