Application by the Armour Group Ltd. requesting to enter into a development agreement for lands at 1000 MicMac Blvd., Dartmouth to allow for two residential buildings (combined 205 units) in addition to the existing 130-unit residential building.

There is currently a 130-unit multiple unit residential building located on the property which was constructed in the late 1970s. The proposal is to construct two multi-unit residential buildings, in addition to the existing multiple-unit residential building, on the excess land. Building ‘A’, which will contain approximately 130 units within a fourteen-storey building (comprised of a three-storey podium and an eleven-storey high-rise component); and, Building ‘B’, which will contain approximately 75 units within an eight-storey building (comprised of a three-storey podium and a five-storey mid-rise component).
The property is zoned R-3 (Multiple Family Residential) Zone under the Dartmouth Land Use Bylaw and is designated Residential under the Dartmouth Municipal Planning Strategy (MPS). The proposal is being considered under Policy IP-5 of the Dartmouth MPS.
The application will be considered under the Development Agreement process

The applicant has submitted plans and studies required by municipal staff to properly evaluate the application; however, further refinement to building design and layout is being conducted by the applicant. Once complete, these documents will be uploaded and available for viewing.
