WSP Canada Inc. is requesting a non-substantive amendment to an existing development agreement on lands at 5885 Spring Garden Road, Halifax. The request is to allow an extension to the completion date identified in the existing development agreement.
The existing development agreement requires construction to be complete five years after the date of registration of the agreement, which occurred November 23, 2015. WSP is asking to extend to completion date by five additional years, i.e., to November 23, 2025. The rationale is to allow revisions to the underground parking layout, which may affect the structure of the building. The extension is requested for additional time to modify parking plans and complete the necessary design and engineering approvals.
The application will be considered under the Non-Substantive Amendment to Development Agreement process.
