Vision 7 Developments Ltd., is applying for a Land Use By-law amendment to allow Nursing Homes (Long Term Care Facilities) as a permitted use in the RLRC (River Lakes Residential Campus) zone under the Land Use By-law for Planning District 14 and 17. This will allow an approximate 100 bed long term care facility on Site B, in Fall River. This will be one of the five buildings proposed for Site B.
The subject Site is located on Site B off Fall River Road, Fall River. The site is designated Residential under the Municipal Planning Strategy for Planning District 14-17 (MPS), and is zoned RLRC (River Lakes Residential Campus) under the Land Use By-law for Planning District 14 and 17 (LUB).
The applicant is proposing to amend the Land Use By-law to add text to permit Nursing Homes in the RLRC (River Lakes Residential Campus) Zone.

The application will be considered under the Land Use By-law Amendment process.
Public consultation will be conducted; the purpose of the consultation will be to receive feedback regarding the proposal. Upon completion of the public consultation, staff will conduct an internal review of the application and submit a staff report to the North West Community Council. The Community Council will then consider the staff recommendation, and should they wish to consider the rezoning, a public hearing will be held.
