KWR Approvals Inc. is applying to rezone lands at 4 Cherry Lane, Spryfield from R-2P (General Residential) Zone to R-3 (General Residential and Low-Rise Apartment) Zone.
Proposal
The subject site is located on the north side of Cherry Lane, off Herring Cove Road. The site has been used for towing and auto related uses. The original proposal was for a 34-unit apartment building (multi-unit dwelling), but that proposal has been revised.
The proposed rezoning to the R-3 Zone (of the Halifax Mainland Land Use By-law), would allow the property to be used for any use permitted in the R-3 Zone. The current proposal is for a multiple-unit dwelling containing 19 dwelling units (apartments) and related parking and landscaped areas.
Process
The application will be considered under the Rezoning (Land Use By-law Amendment) process.
Status
Information fact sheets are being mailed to neighbouring residents and property owners in late March/ early April of 2023, seeking feedback on the proposal.

The applicant has submitted plans and studies required by HRM staff to properly evaluate the application. These include:
- Letter, Survey, Conceptual Site Plan and Building Floor Plans (PDF)
- Traffic Impact Statement - *to be revised to reflect current no. of units* (PDF)
