Application by FBM Ltd. to amend the development agreement for the property at Civic 27 and 65 Dellridge Lane, Bedford to define and add 'Dog Care Facility' to the list of permitted uses in the General Commercial area.
The subject site has street frontage on Nine Mile Drive (at intersection of Dellridge Lane) and includes two buildings (Civic 27 & 65) on the north side of Dellridge Lane. The property is currently owned by Rainbow Development Holdings Limited. The existing development agreement for Bedford South allocates the site for ‘general commercial’ development, including many commercial uses (listed in Schedule P of the agreement – see link below).
The proposal is to amend the Development Agreement as follows:
- add a definition of 'Indoor Commercial Dog Care Facility', which excludes overnight boarding and excludes outdoor enclosure or activity; and
- add ‘Indoor Commercial Dog Care Facility' to the list of permitted uses found in Schedule P of the agreement.
The application will be considered under the Substantive Amendment to Development Agreement process.
