WM Fares, on behalf of the property owner, is requesting to discharge an existing development agreement and enter into a new development agreement to allow a six-storey mixed use building on lands at 1200 and 1216 Cole Harbour Road, Cole Harbour.
The applicant wishes to construct a mixed use building on the site. The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
- Six-storey building;
- 88 residential units (24 one-bedroom units and 64 two-bedroom units);
- 2,124 square metres of commercial space on the ground floor;
- Approximately 66 parking spaces outside and 60 inside; and
- Amenity space for the residents of the building.
The Development Plans (provided below) outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the design and scale of the proposed building, traffic impacts, and location of driveway accesses and parking.
The application will be considered under the development agreement process.
This application is currently at the Team Review Stage of the process where the request is being reviewed by internal municipal staff from Development Engineering (including Traffic Services); Building Standards, Civic Addressing, Fire Services, and Parkland Planning, as well as externally by Halifax Water and Nova Scotia Power Inc.
