WSP Canada Inc. is applying to amend an existing development agreement to add commercial school to the list of permitted uses and allow additional time to begin construction. The existing agreement permits the construction of a two-storey commercial building, and this is will not change.
Proposal
The subject property is a located near the corner of Sackville Drive and Hamilton Drive in Middle Sackville. This site is currently vacant. The applicant is requesting amendments to the existing development agreement, which was approved in 2018. The major aspects of the proposal are as follows:
- The applicant requests to add commercial school to the list of permitted uses. Uses already permitted by the current development agreement include retail stores, service and personal service uses, and offices.
- The request also includes a time extension to allow 4 additional years for construction to start.
- The current development agreement permits construction of a two-storey commercial building. No changes to the size or location of the building are requested by this application.

Status
This application is currently under review by municipal staff. The next step is public engagement which will be conducted through a future mailout.
