A public hearing will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Lockview High School, 148 Lockview Road, Fall River. All oral and written submissions will be considered at that time. DesignPoint Engineering & Surveying Ltd. is applying to enter into a development agreement at 57 Sanctuary Court, Fall River.
Proposal
The applicant wishes to change the commercial use of the property from an equestrian use (formerly Fall River Stables) to a landscaping service use (tree removal service). This is enabled under Policy P-76 of the Shubenacadie Lakes (Districts 14 and 17) Municipal Planning Strategy.
The proposal consists of renovating the existing barn (total floor area of 3,025 square metres or 32,559 square feet) to add a tree service business. The tree service business includes the storage of wood chips, greenhouse, equipment storage, space for the minor repair of equipment and a small office. The proposal also included 10 parking spaces. The applicant wishes to improve landscaping around the structures.
The Survey Plans outline the development proposal in detail, and include information related to the survey plan of the existing structures, driveways, and topography on the proposed site.
Process
The application will be considered under the development agreement process.
Status
On January 16, 2023, North West Community Council conducted first reading to consider an approval of the proposed development agreement. A public hearing will be held on Monday, February 27, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Lockview High School, 148 Lockview Road, Fall River. All oral and written submissions will be considered at that time.
