9.1.1 Community Grants Program Recommended Awards: Fiscal 2026-27 [PDF]
Motion:
That the Grants Committee recommend that Halifax Regional Council:

1. Approve 53 awards as detailed in Attachment 2 of the staff report dated June 15, 2026 for a combined total of $375,006 from Operating Account M311-8004 Community Grants;

2. Direct the Chief Administrative Officer to direct staff to review Administrative Order 2022-005-ADM the Community Grants Program Administrative Order, to identify opportunities for clarification, consolidation, and efficiencies and draft any amendments to policy as applicable; and

3. Approve a one-time transfer of $65,000 from Operating Account M311-8004 to Operating Account M310-8004 in fiscal year 2026/27 to support the inclusion of registered heritage property owned by a non-profit or charitable organizations in the 2026 Heritage Incentives Program pending approval of amendments to Administrative Order 2014-002-ADM Respecting Heritage Incentives.
