Boards & Committees Volunteer Application Form

This form is used to apply for volunteer positions on the municipality's boards, committees, and commissions.  By applying for any of these positions, you consent to the public release of information submitted in support of your application in the event that you are appointed to a board, committee, or commission.

Eligibility:  To apply, you must live in the Halifax Regional Municipality. While most boards and committees have a minimum age requirement of 19 years, youth aged 15-24 may apply for the Youth Advisory Committee with parental/legal guardian consent.  

Appointments are made in accordance with our Public Appointment Policy. Halifax employees and relatives of members of Council are not eligible for appointment. 

Communication:  We will communicate with you primarily via email.  Ensure you add serve@halifax.ca to your email "safe senders list" and check your junk/spam folders routinely.
