Halifax Water, through its contractor Atlantic Road Construction and Paving, will be conducting critical water valve replacement work on Cogswell Street between Gottingen and Brunswick Streets.
The work will get underway Monday, August 29 through to Friday, September 2 and will take place overnight between 6PM and 7AM.
There will be lane drops in the work zone. Motorists are asked to proceed carefully through the work zone and to expect delays. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.
Customers on peninsular Halifax may notice temporary reduced water pressure and discoloured water. The water remains safe to drink. For customers who do experience discoloured water, run your cold water taps for a few minutes until the water is clear.
Some customers in the area of the water valve work will have their water service interrupted during the work periods. Those customers will be contacted directly prior to the water shutdown.
